Hi, Everyone,
This has been quite a time for all of us. Since the Spring Equinox, the Sun in Aries has set off all of the planets in Capricorn that introduced both the year and the decade. Saturn and Pluto met up on January 12, 2020 at 22 degrees of Capricorn, which is at the world axis. These two malefics meet up approximately every 36 years or so, and this indicates mass change, permanent endings, rebirth, and regeneration.
Last week, the Sun in Aries met up with Eris, the Goddess of Discord, in Aries; The Sun then proceeded to clash with Pluto, one of the key players of the year, on April 14, 2020. This aspect bring major endings and power struggles. Pluto is the higher octave of Mars, and Mars rules the cardinal Fire sign of Aries. The Sun in Aries set off Jupiter, the biggest planet, on April 15, 2020, and this brought things to a whole other level of intensity and anger.
The Sun is now in the fixed earth sign of Taurus, which is ruled by Venus, the planet of love, beauty, creativity, and value. The Sun entered Taurus on April 19, 2020, where it will transit through May 20, 2020 when it enters the mutable air sign of Gemini. Mercury, the cosmic messenger, is transiting in the fiery cardinal sign of Aries and is setting off the Capricorn planets that framed the stage for the year.
When Saturn and Pluto met up on January 12, 2020, The Sun, was at 21 degrees of Capricorn and brought to light the story of permanent restructuring on a global level. Mercury, the cosmic messenger, was close behind at 23 degrees of the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn, and helped to translate the message clearly for all of us. Capricorn rules accountability, karma, leadership, time, and integrity. We are all being called upon on a a mass level to be accountable and to come from a place of integrity — especially when no one is watching or listening — that is the time when you shine the most. It is up to you.
On April 21st, The Sun in Taurus formed a challenging square to Saturn, the planet of restrictions. Saturn briefly entered the fixed air sign of Aquarius on March 21st, 2020, where it will remain through July 2, 2020. In Ancient Astrology, Saturn was the ruler of Aquarius; in Modern Astrology, Uranus rules the fixed air sign. With the Sun and Saturn in combat, it can feel very depressing. It is easy to become deflated when you work so hard to focus in spite of external restrictions, and you still cannot move ahead.
I consulted my friend, the Swami. Swami turns 93 on May 15th, and he said that the Bible has reported many plagues over time, and each has challenged mankind\’s ability and value to survive. He said that no one ever learns by challenging change; that this historical time period we now are in will spawn a new kind of value system and a new humanity.
We will never again experience this much Capricorn as we did in the beginning of the year: The South Node of Karma, that which we release; Jupiter, the planet of expansion; the Sun in Capricorn, that which represents identity, and how we shine; Saturn, the taskmaster of the zodiac, which teaches us our karmic lessons; Pluto, the planet of death and metamorphosis.
Our value system and old ways of doing things are completely changed. Saturn is in Aquarius for a brief while and requests that we structure the future through thinking in collective terms and not in individual terms, even though this time requires unique genius to team together to strategize. Saturn is the ancient ruler of Aquarius, and Uranus is the modern ruler of Aquarius. Aquarius is the sign that governs humanity. With so much planetary emphasis on Capricorn, we became so immersed in world status that we temporarily forgot the world itself.
Uranus is the great awakener of the Zodiac, and it is transiting in the fixed earth sign of Taurus, which hates change. Taurus is also one of the most creative and manifesting earth signs of the Zodiac. It is the ruled by the planet Venus, which is the planet of creativity. As my 93 year old Taurus friend said, you don\’t grow through comfort but through adversity. We did not seek this plague, but we must seek new fruitful oppo
The New Moon occurs on April 22nd at 10:26 pm ED at 3 degrees of Taurus. This is a very creative new moon and highly manifesting! I cast the chart for the East coast, and it has Sagittarius ascendant which means that Jupiter rules the chart. Jupiter recently met up with Pluto in Capricorn and will meet up two more times for transformation and spiritual growth. Jupiter, Pluto, Saturn, and Mars, all occupy the second house of income and value, which means much change in how we earn income, and what is of value.
The new moon falls in the fifth house of creativity and self expression. This house corresponds with the heart chakra and is connected with love. This is a very romantic and creative new moon, although it is held back by the challenges of Saturn. It is also conjunct Uranus, the wild card of the zodiac. Expect the unexpected. Expect a lot of unexpected events to occur! Remember that Saturn and Uranus are both the rulers of Aquarius. The New Moon in Taurus is conjunct Uranus and square Taurus. It is adjusting through Independence, teamwork, ingenuity, and forward thinking.
Tap in to all of the love that is available in this creative new moon chart, but keep in mind that this week will continue to be volatile. Take some time during the New Moon to set intentions, clear the energy, and focus on what you want to create. Take a blank check and date it for April 22,2020 . Print out your name where it says, \”Pay to the order of,\” and then leave the small numeric box blank. Print on the next line, \”PAID IN FULL.\” At the bottom where you normally sign your name, print \”THE LAW OF ABUNDANCE. \” I wish you much luck and happiness.
Pluto, the cosmic transformer, stations retrograde on April 25, 2020. We feel the energy of the station five days before and five days after. Pluto rules earthquakes and volcanic eruptions. Mercury is in Aries and clashes with Pluto on the day of the station. Expect a lot of secrets and lies to get uncovered this week, as Pluto digs deeply below the surface.
Major changes and endings will happen this week. Mercury clashes with Jupiter on the following day, and this expands the fiery words that many will shout out in battle. The Sun in Taurus joins up with Uranus directly on April 26th. Expect the unexpected! This is a week of a lot of surprise, disruption, chaos, and brilliance. Be creative, be mindful, and be alert.
