Mercury stations direct in Leo: Heart and joy align
It has taken a lot of energy and focus to write this article, as I have had so much to say and share about what I have seen and have felt about this summer in review; but, I have also gotten caught up in the heavy retrograde, the karmic lessons, and the Eclipses. As the poet Robert Burns famously wrote, \”The best laid plans of mice and men often go awry.\”
So, after going awry but not awol, I am back to deliver the astrological news! To begin with, this summer had three Eclipses — two of which were Solar Eclipses, and that is a BIG deal filled with huge changes, shifts of direction, major moves, breakups, beginnings, endings, and all that Eclipses incur.
Secondly, Mars has been traveling with the South Node since end of May, and that has brought up a lot of ugly karmic stories for people that remind them of parts of themselves they thought were gone or that wish they had already mastered. The point is not to judge your lower self if that is what has reared itself this summer; but, instead, to figure how to love and make peace with that side of yourself. Own your journey forward in releasing him or her and innovating and manifesting a new truth.
I have very good news to report because for a good portion of this summer and for the past two Eclipses, there have been seven planets retrograde! I repeat — not one or two, but seven planets!!! Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and the dwarf planet Chiron. Talk about driving with broken wheels. The good news is that Mercury, the cosmic messenger, stations direct on August 19, 2018 at 11 degrees and 32 minutes of Leo. One of the wheels is getting fixed this weekend!
This is excellent news, and it helps us all to start to feel like we are gaining momentum slowly but surely. The real shift will occur when Mars stations direct on August 27, 2018 at 28 degrees of Capricorn; but, this is still a help and a step in the right direction!
When Mercury stations direct, it forms a sextile to Venus, the planet of love and beauty. Venus is currently in her domicile in the cardinal air sign of Libra, and this is an excellent time for speaking from the heart. Mercury in Leo already speaks directly from the heart. It also helps that the the love goddess, Venus, is in alignment with the Mercury. This helps to give us hope after a summer of so twists and turns.
We are not done with Mars and the South Node traveling together. We have some more truths to face through the middle of October, which is not surprising since there are any planets in Capricorn, which force us to take accountability of our actions, ego needs, and achievement.
We are not done with Mars and Uranus in conflict until October, so there could continue to be anger issues that persist. The good news is that this has been a summer of intense review, and you know that you are starting to move forward with your goals and how to structure them in a more effective way. Soon after Mars stations direct on August 28, 2018, Saturn stations direct on September 7, 2018 at 2 degrees of Capricorn. Saturn structures your achievements and rewards your efforts.
It will be far easier to structure your goals in a more direct and fluid manner. However, bear in mind that Venus enters its shadow on September 2, 2018 and retrogades in Scorpio and Libra from October 5, 2018 through November 16, 2018. This is a time to review financial and romantic goals. This is also a significant retrograde, as Venus is a personal planet and rules investments, expensive purchases, beauty, cosmetic surgery, relationships, business partnerships, open enemies, and marriage.
If there is an important partnership or financial goal, you have a short window of August 27, 2018 through September 2, 2018. If it is something to which you are returning, that may be a different story. Partnership contracts, huge investments, and cosmetic surgery should be avoided during Venus in retrograde.
For the immediate, we are moving ahead in micro actions. Mercury stations direct with an aspect of opportunity to a benefic and helps to inject some beauty in the landscape of a portrait of pain and despair for many this summer. Jupiter, the grand benefic, forms a magical trine to Neptune.
This is about manifesting, visualizing, and feeling you have your dreams. This is pure magic and the songs of angels. This is divine joy if you open your heart and your mind.
