Full Moon in Capricorn: Returning to goals.

This is a pivotal week that many have been waiting for because Mars, the planet of action, assertion, anger, leadership, and sexuality, stations retrograde on June 26, 2018 at 5:04 pm ET.  Mars is retrograde through August 28, 2018; but, it does not clear the degree at which it stationed retrograde, i.e. at 9 degrees of Aquarius, until October 10, 2018.

There are several planets that will be retrograde this summer, but Mars is a personal planet, and it affects us in a more direct and personal way.  Mars retrogrades approximately every two years, so it does not happen very often.  This is a time when things slow down, and it is not a time to launch something new altogether. It is not an ideal time to begin a new job if you can avoid it, or to have surgery.

Mars retrograde is a time to return to projects that need completion, reconfigure your projects and work, retarget how you can be more productive, and let go of things that block your accomplishments.  This is also a time to figure how you can improve how you handle anger, impatience, frustration, and stress.
Mars already met up with the South Node of Destiny on June 8, 2018.  This is a very difficult energy, as Mars is a traditional Malefic.  The Nodes of fate deal with our karma and connections.  The South Node, in particular, deals with what we need to release and let go.  Mar is a real trigger, and there will be relationships, circumstances, and situations, that will be released forever with this pairing.

Mars and The South Node meet up two more times in Aquarius since the the Nodes are almost always retrograde, and Mars is retrograde most of the summer.  The two met up again on July 21, 2018 at 5 degrees of the fixed air sign of Aquarius.

We will feel the buildup a few days beforehand.  Remember that Mars makes people act impulsively.  Use Mars retrograde to strategize rather than to act on impulse.  Again, Mars and the South Node are not easy together, so pay attention to people who are going through tough times, as that week will be particularly volatile and is in the middle of the Eclipse season.  The final pairing of Mars and the South Node occurs on September 26, 2018, and we will feel the buildup a few days before that, as well.
This summer is more than just Mars retrograde.  Last week, Neptune, which rules dreams, sensitivity, higher intuition and inspiration, stationed retrograde on June 18, 2018 at 16 degrees of the Mutable Water sign of Pisces.  We feel the effects five days before and after the station.  Neptune retrogrades every year for approximately five months, so we will deal with it most of the year, but the energy was pronounced last week.

I noticed that a lot of people felt very spaced out and emotional.  The other planets that are currently retrograde are Jupiter in Scorpio, Saturn in Capricorn, Pluto in Capricorn, and Neptune in Pisces.  Jupiter will station direct on July 8 at 13 degrees of Scorpio; but, then we also get Mercury in retrograde at the end of July, so it\’s a trade!

With all of that said, there are outer planets that are currently retrograde and insist that we reflect on what we want to evolve and build in our lives.  We began the year with a lot of Cardinal energy in the Cardinal Earth Sign of Capricorn, and Uranus, the great awakener in Aries.  There were no planets retrograde for the entire month of January and February, and it was full steam ahead.
Now we are in the middle of the year, and it is time to reflect on what you need to release.  This is going to be a summer that insists you let go of certain things. It does not have to be dramatic. It could be simple measures you take in your own life that enable you to instill healthy habits in your day-to-day existence.  It could be attending a yoga or meditation class that helps you deal with depression (inverted anger), or getting back to the gym and getting a really work out that lets you sweat out of the stress.

This is a summer that you want to reflect on how you can improve all that you have worked on so far in the year of 2018.  This time of Mars clearing its shadow through October 10, 2018 enables you to redo things that you are not happy with, or that you feel could be even better. Now is the time to re-think and reevaluate.

There is a Full Moon at 6 degrees of the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn. This Full Moon is conjunct Saturn, the cosmic taskmaster, within a degree.  Saturn is like the judgment card in Tarot. Saturn insists you confront things you have not faced and deal with things.  Saturn does not play around, and it can help you grow if you face the lessons.  This Full moon is a fruition of what you have embarked on since Saturn entered Capricorn on December 19, 2018.  If you do not like what you have started, this is an excellent summer to reflect on how you can uplevel your life and your work!
In the Full Moon chart, Venus is inconjunct Neptune, the planet of illusions, and there could be a need for each of us to reevaluate how we are deluding ourselves about what we want, or if we are being unclear on what it is we do want.  Jupiter, the ancient ruler of Pisces and modern ruler of Sagittarius, forms a beautiful and manifesting Trine to Neptune in Pisces.  Jupiter is the vision, and Neptune is the dream.

This is not going to be an easy summer, and I think prayer, meditation, engaging in creative endeavors of any kind, and self healing, are all necessary tools to get through.  I have already been keeping a manifesting journal to get ready, and I have work plans to revisit. I encourage you all to do the same.  Use this Full moon to stabilize what you want to build further, and what you need to release in order to do so.
