New Moon in Scorpio: Time to heal and move forward.
This is a week of huge planetary shifts. Uranus, the Great Awakener, re-enters the cardinal Fire sign of Aries, where it will tour through March 7, 2019. Think to what was happening from early April through mid May of this year, and there may be things you can now revisit.
Uranus rules earthquakes, volcanoes, bombs, enlightenment, brilliance, chaos, disruption, and insurgence. Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury, and it represents ingenuity, higher consciousness, and it rules the internet, Social media, networking, groups, friends, and organizations.
When Uranus initially entered Taurus on the New Moon in Taurus on May 15, 2018, there was a volcano brewing in Hawaii. For this past Full Moon in Taurus on October 24, 2018, The Moon in Taurus was conjunct Uranus within a degree; Uranus also opposed the Sun and Venus in Scorpio. There was a huge thwarted bomb attack the following day.
With Uranus so strong in the Full Moon chart, violence and rage are pronounced. Only a few days later, there was the tragic Synagogue shooting in Pittsburgh on October 27, 2018. Anger, violence, and the impulsive action of another disturbed lone wolf.
Uranus re-enters the Cardinal Fire sign of Aries and remains at the final two degrees of Aries until March 7, 2019. Aries is the sign of self. With Uranus in Aries, there was expedient growth in technology and the ability for individuals to market their businesses and reach people whom they never would have imagined they could reach.
As time proceeded, focus on self devolved to a point where it became the \”Era of selfies and over-sharing.\” We have a few months to finish up Uranus in Aries. Uranus takes 84 years to orbit, so once it leaves Aries, this journey is done.
Figure out how to become self reliant and purposeful, which is the higher form. When Uranus does re-enter Taurus, the focus is on the Planet Earth, slowing down and being in the moment, and figuring what is of value. Perhaps it will make people less focused on self and isolation, as it did with Uranus in Aries. Perhaps people will be less self obsessed. We can only hope.
Jupiter changes signs on November 8, 2018 and remains in the mutable fire sign of Sagittarius until December 3, 2019. Whether or not you have Sagittarius strong in your chart, this is something for which we can all be hopeful. Jupiter is in its home sign in Sagittarius and bestows optimism, generosity, higher learning, and kindness.
So much to say on my favorite planet that I will write an article on Jupiter in Sagittarius. The Nodes of Fate also change signs and leave the Leo/Aquarius axis and enter Cancer/Capricorn for the next 18 months, which is more on nurturing and getting structured.
In the interim, this Scorpio kisses Jupiter in Scorpio goodbye. This has been an intense year with so many planets retrograde — insisting that we search deeply within ourselves and face uncomfortable truths. Mars, which is the ancient ruler of Scorpio, was retrograde all summer and making very difficult aspects of undoing, as it danced with the South Node of Karma three times and clashed with Uranus. Anger, unexpected news, violence, and rage kept their steady pace.
Jupiter in Scorpio opened up the story from Saturn\’s transit in Scorpio, which occurred from October 6, 2012 through September 18, 2015. Jupiter brings light to the story, but it can re-open painful stories in order to heal.
Jupiter entered Scorpio on October 10, 2017, and Jupiter exits the fixed water sign of Scorpio on November 8, 2018. Scorpio rules power, intimacy, sexuality, investments, and joint resources. The #metoo movement began early last October with Harvey Weinstein and brought light to many other stories of abuse of power and sexuality. Even in healing, people had to re-live the pain and shame.
Recently, Venus retrograded in Scorpio. We thought were were done with all of the inner work and restructuring around blocked wounds and loss with Saturn in Scorpio. Jupiter brought light to the wounds, but it was pretty heavy. Venus retrograde sealed the deal, as Venus only retrogrades once every 18 months.
If Jupiter in Scorpio did not bring up unfinished tales around woe, debt, or sorrow for you in the past year, Venus was sure to do so. Venus initially retrograded on October 5, 2018 and will station direct on November 16, 2018 at 25 degrees of Libra. On October 26, 2018, Venus retrograde met up with the Sun at 3 degrees of Scorpio and marked a new eight year cycle around what you want, and what you value.
When any planet is retrograde, it is a time to reconnect, return, review, review, and reconsider. Since Venus has been retrograde, I have felt it very difficult to connect to my creativity, and I have had a few other friends confirm the very same thing. At one point, there were four planets touring through Scorpio, and it felt dark, heavy, and dramatic. As my friend says, \”Save your drama for your mama!\” Come on, Jupiter in Sagittarius! Cheer us up a bit!
There is a very magical and manifesting New Moon in Scorpio that takes place on November 7, 2018 at 11:02 am EST at 15 degrees of Scorpio, which is at the world axis. The world axis means it impacts everyone, and it is a more palpable New moon: one where we can set our intentions and actualize our goals.
This New Moon is ruled by Pluto, the planet of power and transformation. The Sun and Moon form a beautiful trine to Neptune, which is the planet of dreams. You can manifest your dreams and healing with the New Moon in Scorpio. Let go of the past and get ready to expand with Jupiter entering Sagittarius!
Scorpio is the sign of letting go. Since Venus is not yet direct, focus on the issues, relationships, or situations that came up this past couple of months with Venus retrograde. It is time to put to rest the Jupiter in Scorpio story, although Mercury will be retrograde in Scorpio for a bit later this month.
This new moon is especially intuitive since both the Sun and Moon are conjunct in the emotive water sign of Scorpio. Take this opportunity to write down your dreams and feel the emotions it feels to have it. Take a blank check and date it for November 7, 2018.
Print out your name where it says, \”Pay to the order of,\” and then leave the small numeric box blank. Print on the next line, \”PAID IN FULL.\” At the bottom where you normally sign your name, print \”THE LAW OF ABUNDANCE. \” I wish you much luck and happiness.
