Total Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio: Please give me the courage to dream!

What a whirlwind in the sky! So many events concurring and colliding. How do I break it down to make sense? On one hand, we are in the midst of Eclipse season. Eclipses can be jarring and disruptive. It can be time where you get shocking news out-of-the-blue. This past Solar Eclipse in Taurus was combined with Uranus, the planet of surprise and chaos. I heard a few stories within a few days of the first eclipse of major changes, shocking sad news, and two really good new beginnings, too! Eclipses want us to change, and they want to elevate our consciousness. Sometimes, it is something that has been brewing for a while, and sometimes it comes out of nowhere in a flash! The New Moon Eclipse in Taurus was ruled by Venus, the planet of creativity. The Solar Eclipse occurred on April 30th, 2022 at 10 degrees and 28 minutes of the fixed Earth sign of Taurus, which is in its exaltation. Venus was in its exaltation in Pisces conjunct Jupiter, the luckiest planet. A lot of creative magic and love inherent in this eclipse as well. Do not forget the magic. I know so many twists and turns for many, but to have the two benefics in their dignity exactly conjunct on day of the Eclipse shows a lot of love and promise in that Eclipse chart.
This week is another show stopper. To begin with, May 10th was a big day for all! Mercury, the cosmic trickster and communicator of the zodiac, retrograded at 4 degrees and 50 minutes of the mutable air sign of Gemini. Mercury will re-enter the Fixed Earth Sign of Taurus on May 22nd and will station direct on June 3, 2022 at 26 degrees of Taurus. This is key with the upcoming Total Lunar Eclipse, as so much will get revealed in this particular Eclipse Season. So much insight and illumination. Uranus, the Great Awakener and higher octave of Mercury was instrumental in the first Eclipse to wake us and shake us up! Mercury rules the sign of Gemini and loves to be in this sign, in which it tells all sorts of tales. Gemini rules communication, networking, sales, and local neighborhood activity and walking. My mother was a Gemini, and her name was Kathy. We used to call her chatty Kathy. My mother loved more than anything to walk around the streets of New York and see all the sights around her. She was childlike in a sense, and Gemini is very youthful. She had a sort of wonder within her that never left her. My father used to tease that in a bus ride across town, she would get a person’s whole life story. And she did! You can expect to get lots of news and lots of stories! Mercury retrograde brings people from the past, and it could be from all walks of life. Especially when it is is in the sign of Gemini, which loves to talk! The interesting thing that occurred on the day that Mercury stationed is that Jupiter, the largest and luckiest planet, entered the Cardinal Fire sign of Aries on May 10th at 7:22 pm EDT and is currently transiting in Aries through October 28, 2022 when it returns to the final degrees of Pisces. Jupiter re-enters the sign of Aries on December 20, 2022 and will be at the world point once again and will stir up major new beginnings! This is a preview of Jupiter in Aries, which will lead the beginning of 2023.
Jupiter loves to be in Pisces, where it is in its rulership and in which you expand through your imagination and the subconscious mind. However, Jupiter takes charge with passion and initiative while in Aries. I like the idea of some fire in the sky, as we have had so much Piscean influence that can feel incredibly vulnerable and sensitive. It is beautiful, magical, and creative; but, when there were five points transiting in Pisces, many felt lost, tired, and distracted. Currently, Venus and Jupiter are both transiting in the Cardinal Fire sign of Aries and want you to get joy by having courage and passion! Jupiter is currently at the very first degree of the Zodiac, which is at 0 degrees of Aries. This degree is at the world axis and impacts people on the world stage, as well as each and every one of us. This is a time to magnetize new beginnings and dance with passion. The world is in a very sad place, but this is a time to have courage to dream to help heal the world. When there was all of this Piscean influence, the universe wanted to remind us to expand through dreams and love. Jupiter and Neptune danced in the sky on April 12, 2022 and met up for first time in over 165 years to emphasize the dream.
When my father was a child, he was extremely poor and was four years old when the Depression began. He would tell me that on weekends, he and the other kids would go to the movies and be able to dream and be a child for just a little while. Rich or poor, loved or forgotten, they could escape to other worlds and be free. Anything was possible for an afternoon. We need to remind ourselves that dreams are still possible as we heal in this tragic time. That was the point, so please do not forget. Now there is fire in the sky, and the two benefics want to help you to take charge and make your mark! This is an eclipse week, and the world intense is an understatement! The Lunar Eclipse occurs on May 15, 2022 at 9:14 pm EDT and on May 16, 2022 at 12:14 am EDT at 25 degrees and 18 minutes of the Fixed Water Sign of Scorpio. The sign of Scorpio represents power, financial partnerships, death, rebirth, elimination, and healing. This is a a Total Lunar Eclipse, in which the Nodes of the Moon have to be within at least nine degrees of the Sun and the Moon. The Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon and completely blocks the Sun’s reflection from the moon and blocks out the moon and makes us see things in a whole other way. This Total Lunar Eclipse is only within three degrees of the South Node of Karma in Scorpio. What do you need to release in order to heal? Are you holding on to anger and resentment? Time to release those shackles and truly empower yourself!
This is easy to say, but it will not be easy to heal. Inevitably, major endings will occur with this Total Lunar Eclipse. Venus, which rules the Sun in Taurus, meets up with Chiron, the wounded healer, on May 15th, 2022 at 8:13 am EDT. This is healing energy, but it also pronounces the wounds. The Sun in Taurus squares Saturn, planet of limitations, at 2:49 pm EDT. This emphasizes the reality of what you need to face, and the blocks that are there. The Sun also forms a helpful aspect to Neptune, planet of dreams, and provides intuition and creative solutions in this very emotional week. The Moon in Scorpio is in its fall position, as the moon is exalted in the opposite sign of Taurus, where were experienced that blowup New Moon Eclipse on April 30, 2022 — just a day after Pluto stationed retrograde. Pluto rules the sign of Scorpio and is the planet of elimination and regeneration.
Focus on the blocks you feel. Scorpio and Taurus both emphasize financial security, so this might be a big focus for you, as well. Taurus highlights income, possessions, and ways to earn money. Scorpio focuses more on debt, taxes, and financial partnerships. It also is a highly psychological sign and wants you to focus on the wounds that you ignore and block. It is a sign of intimacy. Try to practice self care and tune into Jupiter in Aries, which gives you courage to move ahead, while you may feel like you heart is in your throat. Keep being courageous. This Full Moon is a time of release. It does have challenging influences in that it squares Saturn, planet of restrictions. Yet, it also forms a magical trine to Neptune, planet of dreams and magic. You can have a scoop of reality and some dream protein powder in your shake. Keep charging ahead!
When Mercury does station direct at 26 degrees of Taurus on June 3, 2022, it opposes this Total Lunar Eclipse in Scorpio by just one degree.
