Solar Eclipse: Wake up to love!
Hi, Everyone, What a time it is! Pluto, the planet of power, money, death, and regeneration, stations retrograde at 28 degrees and 36 minutes of the Cardinal Earth sign of Capricorn at 2:38 pm EDT. This is merely a day before the Partial Solar Eclipse in Taurus, which is coupled with that zany and uncontrollable planet Uranus. Thunderbolts and lightening. Very, very frightening! Or is it exciting? You decide. It is indicative of a time of change, which many fear. When outer planets station retrograde or direct, the energy of the planet is amplified. In this case, Pluto’s energy is amplified, and exaggerated. Pluto may have been demoted to a dwarf planet, but it is no lightweight! We feel the buildup of the station five days before and five days after. Pluto represents death, loss, debt, money, investments, power, rebirth, regeneration, and empowerment. Pluto is INTENSE, and it rules the fixed water sign of Scorpio.
We are already in Eclipse season, which is already a time of situations, meetings, and endings that can come in a flash out-of-the-blue. An eclipse is a portent of action and major activity in whatever area of your chart it falls. If it hits a planet or angle in your chart, you know that it will be an eventful time. Eclipses can bring things to light and make us see things in a way we never have before.
I have often given the example in the past in which one day it was a Solar Eclipse, and I could not get a cab for the life of me. It would have been easier to walk over and get the subway, but I had already waited too long for that. A biker came by and offered me a helmet and a ride across Central Park. I figured that since it was a Solar Eclipse, odd things can happen.
I got a good vibe from the guy and decided to take my chances because I really wanted to make that appointment. I saw things in such a different perspective, as I was looking dead into the eyes of the drivers of the other cars. I was part of the action, and I saw it directly on in my journey across town.
At present, there are likely major departures and change. Pluto stations will bring that up in and of itself, and they can shake us up and cause earth quakes metaphorically and in reality. Eclipses also brings major shake ups and want us to experience change, wake up, and move ahead!
This Partial Solar Eclipse occurs on April 30th, 2022 at 4:28 pm EDT at 10 degrees and 28 minutes of the Fixed Earth sign of Taurus, and it is only a couple of degrees apart from Uranus, the great Awakener and maverick of the zodiac. Uranus crossed this degree initially in the summer of 2020 and did so on and off through end of 2021.
Taurus is a very grounded, predictable earth sign that loathes change. Uranus likes to mix things up and promotes instant chaos. This Eclipse is partial Solar Eclipse in that the Earth, Sun, and the Moon do no form a completely straight line, but the moon does cover part of the Sun’s disk, and it is definitely like a New Moon on steroids!
Eclipses always come in pairs, and there will be a Total Lunar Eclipse on May 16th, 2022 at 12:14 am EDT at 25 degrees and 18 minutes of the fixed water sign of Scorpio. Taurus is a fixed Earth sign that is ruled by the planet Venus. It represents how you use your resources to earn an income, your possessions, your creativity, and your values. Scorpio is a fixed water sign that represents investments, other people’s money, debt, and taxes.
Both signs are the money signs of the zodiac, so finances, resources, and new abilities to earn income are emphasized in this Eclipse series. The North Node is transiting in Taurus, so that is where you are meant to grow and ascend. Use your creativity to create a new reality and new ways to earn money and bring beauty to your life.
Scorpio is a sign associated with money, but it is also a deeply psychological sign that centers on intimacy, loss, death, sexuality, and blocked wounds. The upcoming Lunar Eclipse is about eliminating fears that are blocking you from creating magic. It has been such a sad time in the world, so it is essential to mourn, as that big Eclipse in the middle of the month will be a sad one; but, it is essential to feel in order to process and heal.
Currently, there are five planets swimming in the sign of dreams: Pisces. Juno, which is an asteroid that represents partnering, entered the mutable water sign of Pisces, where it will transit until January 12, 2022. Partner with dreams and compassion. Mars, the planet of action and drive, transits in the mutable water sign of Pisces through May 24, 2022 and is great for engaging in spiritual practice like meditation, manifesting, yoga, journaling, etc.
Neptune, the planet of dreams spirituality, and intuition, is transiting in Pisces for a few more years. Jupiter, the planet of expansion and vision, is transiting in Pisces through May 10, 2022 and will re-enter on October 28th through December 28th at the final two degrees of Pisces helping us all to expand through unlimited imagination and the unconscious mind. Venus, the planet of love, money, and value, transits in Pisces through May 2, 2022.
Jupiter and Neptune met up on April 12, 2022 at 23 degrees and 59 minutes of the mutable water sign of Pisces, which both planets rule. Jupiter is the vision. Neptune is the dream. They meet up in the sky every twelve years to form a new dream; but, they had not met up in the sky since March 17, 1856. This is very powerful pairing of magic and dreams that we are all working with through the end of May. DO NOT GIVE UP ON DREAMS!
Tomorrow’s Solar Eclipse has a lot of magic inherent in the chart and promise for a new reality. It takes courage and an ability to go with the flow because of the all of the Scattered Piscean energy; but, also because, Eclipses are very jarring and unpredictable in and of themselves. I have been talking a lot about this with my clients and in my videos, but this is such a time to capture the dreams and magic if you are able.
I know that dreams feel so inaccessible to so many, and how could it now feel that way? However, the universe is giving us a reminder, which is really not that subtle given so many points in Pisces. This a tremendously sad time in history, and there have been others before. This is when the dreams can take on such another level because the collective desire to heal and believe that we are more than our limitations can take us to a whole other place.
Taurus is the earth sign more equated with Mother Earth, and it is normally very grounded and practical energy. That may not be the case now because it is paired up with the planet of disruption; but, maybe you find your security in letting go of control which you really do not have in the first place. If you can suspend some disbelief and practice some self care, maybe this is a chance to pursue dreams that you would never would have considered years before.
I realize many dreams have been lost, and many will not recover. I think that is also why so many planets are transiting in Pisces as a preview of the Age of Pisces, which begins next March when Saturn, the planet of karma and structure, enters the sign of Pisces where it will transit on and off for the next three years.
Pisces represents the divine collective. On the higher level, it represents dreams, creative magic, inspiration, and selfless love. On the more challenging level, it represents loss, confusion, delusion, escapism, addiction, and deception. It can make you feel scattered at times like you are running in many directions at once; yet, it is all internal.
Just keep running and see which lane your mind brings you. It may be coated with chocolate, as the secret tunnels were when I was a child, and my mom would take me on a nightly journey with Peter the Rabbit down a secret hole in Carl Schurz Park to which only I had the real key.
No adults were allowed, but my dog Andy could come with us. I was the lead contact; but, my friends would join, and I always got to pick the best dress. You may not get to go down that chocolate hallway, but maybe you find a better one for you. Peter the Rabbit has been on hiatus from me for a long time, so he may just be waiting for you!
I cast the chart for the Solar Eclipse to Washington D.C.. The chart has Virgo rising, and the New Moon Eclipse falls in the eighth house of money, power, and regeneration. The New Moon is conjunct Uranus, and that brings a lot of unexpected twists and turns and adds a lot of intensity to a partial Solar eclipse — especially just a day after the Pluto station. How do you empower yourself and embrace change, which is inevitable? Especially now!
There is a beautiful stellium of planets in Pisces, which illustrates the beauty and love that is so strong in this eclipse chart. Venus rules the New Moon Eclipse, and it is still in its exaltation in Pisces, where it loves to be. It is romantic, creative, and so imaginative while in Pisces. Neptune, the modern ruler of Pisces, is conjunct both Venus and Jupiter as a cosmic reminder to keep swimming towards our dreams.
Venus and Jupiter, the two benefics of the zodiac, meet up exactly in the sky at 5:14 pm EDT at 27 degrees and 57 minutes of Pisces. When Jupiter re-enters Pisces on October 28th, it will default back to 28 degrees of the mutable water sign of Pisces, where it will transit until December 20, 2022. Expand the magic and miracles now and see what comes to form by the ending of the year! Venus will no longer be in Pisces, but Jupiter will come back to reclaim the dream!
This Venus/Jupiter combination also answers back to the miraculous portal that opened for all of us when Jupiter and Neptune joined cosmic forces on April 12, 2022 to bring in a new dream of love and healing for all of us. They met up at 23 degrees and 59 minutes of Pisces and will not meet up again in Pisces for over 165 years. This Neptunian health tonic is soothing for sadness and a lack of direction; but, this Solar Eclipse is also waking you up to how to use love and innovation to heal yourself and others in a grounded yet inventive manner. It is not just about you. It is not just about me.
The New Moon is always a great time for setting intentions and planting new seeds — particularly a new moon on steroids! This Solar Eclipse occurs on April 30th, 2022 at 4:28 pm EDT. Try to do at the time of the eclipse or close it some kind of a ritual that speaks to you about inaugurating and celebrating new beginnings. Burn palo santo, cleanse your crystals, chant, sing, clear space, listen to music, or do whatever puts you in suspension of disbelief.
The Solar Eclipse is a particularly potent day. The New Moon is always a time to plant new seeds and bring in abundance and expansion. Take a blank check and date it for the date of the New Moon Eclipse — April 30th. Where it says, “Pay to the order of,” print your full name. Leave the small numeric box blank. On the following line, where you normally print the dollar amount, print, “Paid in Full.” At the bottom of the check, where you normally print your full name, print, “The Law of Abundance.” The two benefics of the zodiac are paired up together in a sign where they both flourish!
