Nodes change signs, and it’s time to rally!

Today is a big day astrologically! What day isn’t in the past few year?! However, this week each of us does a tango with a destiny and shift direction in individual purpose and collective intent.
To start, there was a New Moon that occurred today at 2:32 pm est. The moon rules the cardinal water sign of Cancer and is in its rulership while in this sign. The moon is at home in Cancer and is nourishing and nurturing. The New Moon is a time to launch new things and plant new seeds. This is a day to write down intentions and planet new seeds. However, you may want to write a second list of things you wish to release and burn it. Make space for the new. Yet, this new moon is intense with many karmic shifts and departures.
This is the last time in our lifetime that the New Moon in Cancer will oppose Pluto, the planet of death and rebirth. Next year when the annual New Moon occurs in Cancer, Pluto will be transiting in the sign of Aquarius and will not form a direct opposition, in which there are major pivots, turning points, and mass release.
The New Moon occurred at 24 degrees and 56 minutes of Cancer and opposed Pluto by five degrees. A New Moon is a new beginning; but, this is a time of letting go and wrapping up the past 15 years of Pluto in Capricorn. We are not done with the Pluto in Capricorn story.
Next year, Pluto will ingress back into the cardinal earth sign of Capricorn on September 1st; but, this is the last time that the New Moon in Cancer duels with Pluto. What do you need to finish and let go? What is the turning point that you have avoided?
Pluto initially entered the sign of Capricorn on January 27, 2023 and will transit there on and off through December 29, 2024. We will feel the lingering effects as we begin 2025; but, we are almost complete with the collapsing of old structures, releasing old paradigms, and evolving new ways of doing business and building new structures in our lives.
This New Moon in Cancer opposes where Pluto transited on and off beginning in February of 2020 through the end of 2021. That was the peak of the pandemic, and there was so much loss in so many ways. Now is a time to evolve and grow.
As much as the new moon in Cancer wants you to have comfort and is in its happy place, this new moon is particularly karmic and is not a gentle new moon in which you sip lemonade in your backyard and listen to your favorite music without a care in the world. This is a new moon that urges you to make choices about your future security, to let go of the past, to mourn the loss, and rebirth your inner home.
In this new moon chart, it is quite fascinating because The Nodes of the moon change signs just an hour and 27 minutes after this New Moon occurs. Neptune forms a helpful trine to the New moon and encourages you to tap into your dreams, as you empower yourself in releasing the old.
I cast the chart for Washington DC, and the chart has Scorpio Ascendant, in which both Pluto and Mars rule the chart. Venus is at the top of the at the Royal fixed star known as Regulus and will retrograde officially on July 22, 2023 at 28 degrees and 36 degrees of Leo to form a new eight year cycle. This also reverts to the past, as Venus only retrogrades only every eight years in the sign of Leo.
The South Know of Karma was dangling in Scorpio at the first degree. Scorpio rules death, big money, joint resources, taxes, debt, mortgages, loans, blocks, sex, power, and domination. In the lower form, the Pluto driven sign of Scorpio can be cruel and rutheless. Pluto, which is the modern ruler of Scorpio squares the nodes of fate three times in the month of July: July 23rd, 25th, and 28th. Scorpio is a sign of mystery. Many people with strong Scorpionic or Plutonian energy in their charts are good at uncovering hidden information and secrets.
Earlier it was stated that this is a very karmic new moon. It is karmic because the Nodes of fate change signs right afterwards. The nodes of the moon take approximately 18.5 years to transit and transit in a sign axis for eighteen months. The North Node of Karma entered the Taurus/Scorpio axis on January 17, 2022 and retrograde to the Aries/Libra axis on June 17, 2023 where the Nodes will transit through January 12, 2025.
Pluto, the planet of fate, ignites the nodes of fate. Not to mention, that the North Node in Aries directly ignites and sets off the story from April 20, 2023 when the Total Solar Eclipse occurred at 29 degrees and 50 minutes of Aries. Stories you were working on then take on another level now.
Saturn still transits by the world point and is off by just a degree. It transits in the sign of Pisces, which is also a sign of secrets, deceit, the forgotten, the helpless, and abandoned. The Giglo Beach killer was finally caught in a time of fate when the South Node of Karma (the past) leaves the sign of Scorpio, where it will not transit for approximately another 19 years. The past was dug up, and violent and dominant secrets were finally uncovered. The detectives did their work.

I have some clients celebrating some amazing new directions in their lives, so this is not all ominous. Yet, I would be remiss if I would say that this is light hearted energy with all of these karmic factors at play. Venus in Leo wants you to have joy and create magic. Leo rules the heart.
It is interesting that in the New Moon Chart, Venus is where it retrogrades. Mercury, the planet of information, is at 12 degrees, which is exactly the degree at which Venus stations direct on September 3, 2023. Mercury is already giving you clues of what lies ahead in this journey. This is a time to search within and find what makes you happy.
Venus clashes with both Jupiter and Uranus. Venus clashes with Uranus, the planet of excitement and the unexpected, on August 9, 2023 and again on September 29, 2023. This can bring unexpected meetings and financial windfalls. It could be very exciting. However, there could be out-of-the-blue breakups and disruptive energy in partnerships, as well. Expect the unexpected. However, it is very innovative and creative energy. This summer, the creativity pours through with a cosmic vengeance!
