New Moon in Taurus: Walk the Talk!

While my mind is currently driving in many different lanes, I have a special New Moon report to write! No more daydreaming, researching, and talking. Oh, wait — Mercury is out-of-bounds and in the tricky sign of Gemini, which it happens to rule. When a planet is out-of-bounds, it does not play by the rules. The qualities and characteristics of the planet are emphasized, and Mercury rules communication. Communication will be out of wack! Mercury in Gemini is extremely quick and adapt, so it can be very crafty in its own right. Whether it’s daydreaming, tuning out, multitasking, or texting several people at once, let’s just assume that this will prove to be a very busy week and month! Not to mention that Mars is also out-of-bounds, but let’s stick to one thing at a time. This week is so exciting and magical; yet, it is so hard to focus. We are still in Taurus season, which is the time to grow, create, love, and indulge the senses. Venus, which is the ruler of the fixed earth sign of Taurus, entered the mutable air sign of Gemini on May 8, 2021 where it will transit through June 2, 2021. Venus in Gemini is flirtatious, social, and communicative. More talking and more mutable distractions!
On May 11, 2021, there is a magical New Moon in Taurus that you will not want to miss! The New Moon occurs at 3:00 pm EDT at 21 degrees and 18 minutes of the fixed earth sign of Taurus. The moon is exalted in Taurus and is an incredibly fertile and creative moon! This new Moon works in harmony with Pluto, the planet of empowerment and transformation. It also forms a beautiful sextile to Neptune, the planet of dreams. Neptune is the higher octave of Venus, and it emphasizes the beauty, love, and magic that are available to all in this beautiful New Moon. This New Moon also officially marks the beginning of Eclipse season because the next lunar event is a Total Full Moon Eclipse in Sagittarius that occurs on May 26, 2021! We are now in eclipse season, and the lights are coming on for all to see where the change and awakening occurs on the individual and collective level.
Therefore, make the most of this New Moon, which can make dreams a physical reality. I would call it the moon of dreams, but the Taurus energy helps to ground. The Sun, Moon, and Uranus are all transiting in the fixed earth sign of Taurus. Uranus is hardly grounding, but the New Moon does not aspect Uranus and is very well positioned. This is a time when April’s showers bring May flowers, and Venus rules the infinite creativity of nature. It also rules this Taurus New Moon, where you can ground your dreams. The seeds you plant will grow into something special. The New Moon occurs at 3 pm EDT at 21 degrees and 18 minutes of the fixed Earth sign of Taurus. Look to see where this falls in your chart to see where you can initiate major new beginnings in your life. I do not believe you have to limit yourself just to where the New moon occurs, but it is nice to know that is where the magic is most potent.
I cast the New moon for Washington D.C., and it has Virgo Ascendant, which means Mercury is the ruler of the chart. Mercury is transiting in its domicile in Gemini through July 11, 2021 and is out-of-bounds until May 25th, 2021. While this New Moon is in earthy Taurus, the Gemini energy is all over the place. There are currently four planets in Gemini, which are in the New Moon chart: Venus, the planet of partnering and money; The North Node of fate, which represents fated relationships and situations; Mercury, the planet of the mind. On May 12, 2021, Mercury makes an exact trine to Saturn, and this helps to stabilize your intentions in your new moon wishes. All of this planetary emphasis on mutable Gemini enables you to truly manifest your thoughts and ideas. Since Gemini is all about communication, make sure to write down your thoughts, journal, and be specific about our intentions. Find a few of your favorite crystals and hold them while you focus on your New Moon dreams.
I like to take my clear crystal quartz point, cleanse it under cold water, and focus on my intention. Clear quartz holds the power of intentions, so that is a great stone to work with if you have it in your cosmic tool box. There is no right or wrong with manifesting unless you are manifesting something harmful for yourself or others, so do what feels best with this magical new moon.
There is another BIG thing to mention that occurs this week, and that is that Jupiter, changes signs and actually enters the mutable water sign of Pisces on May 13, 2021 where it will transit through July 29, 2021 when it re-enters the fixed air sign of Aquarius.
Jupiter gets as far as 2 degrees of the mutable water sign of Pisces when it stations on June 20, 2021. Jupiter rules Pisces in ancient astrology, and it brings more mutability to the cosmos! Your mind can space out in more directions and daydream in BIG ways.
Jupiter in Pisces expands through emotions, compassion, dreams, music, art, and love. This year has been so fast in the New Age of Aquarius, and it has been the year of fast fixed change. Now Jupiter briefly dips in to Pisces’ waves and gives us all a chance to feel the pain, cry the tears, and hopefully get some much needed rest. Aquarius is a sign of humanitarianism, wishes, community, technology, brilliance, and science. It can also be cold and distant.
Jupiter in Pisces is in its dignity, and it is the most creative water sign. The music, art, and dreams that will bubble this summer will be truly amazing. Time to be inspired in a time of chaos. There is no way to avoid the chaos in the new age of Aquarius. There is a way, however, to thrive on the chaos, and you will learn your way in this new era.
The New Moon in Taurus in an excellent time to do The Law of Abundance. Take a blank check and date it for May 11, 2021. Where it says, “Pay to the order of, ” write your full name. Leave the small numeric box blank. Where you normally write the dollar amount, write “Paid in Full.” Where you normally sign your name at the bottom of the check, write “The Law of Abundance.” I wish you much luck!
