New Moon in Aquarius: Fly up to the sky!

We are approaching unprecedented times. I am so scatted with all of the Neptunian energy, but I feel called to say something about the most important New Moon of the year! There is a New Moon in Aquarius that occurs on 1/29/25 at 7:36 am EST at 9 degrees and 51 minutes of the Fixed air sign of Aquarius. This is the first New Moon for the next 18 years, where the Sun and Pluto will both be in Aquarius during the New Moon.
Pluto, the planet of power, change, death, rebirth, ruin, empowerment, and renewal, has been dipping back and forth into Aquarius since 3/23/23; but, now it will be transiting in the Fixed air sign of Aquarius through January of 2044. It has a brief dance in Pisces in 2043; but, it is pretty solid in this sign that embodies fast and fixed change, upheaval, chaos, awakening, disruption, ingenuity, community, and individualism.
The Sun entered Aquarius on 1/19/25, where it will transit through 2/18/25. The Sun met up with Pluto on 2/21/25, and that was the day that Tik Tok got tempoarily banned. Uranus is the modern ruler of Aquarius and rules social media platforms, technology, the internet, space exploration; as well as groups, friends, community, and acquaintances.
Mercury, the cosmic messenger, entered the sign of Aquarius on 1/27/25, where it will tour through 2/14/25. More planets in Aquarius in the sky! Mercury is exalted in Aquarius and is very futuristic. This is learning to tap beyond our immediate potential and work with infinite promise. There is a lot of the brain that is not even utilized. While we may not only use 10 percent, there is a lot yet to be discovered about the potential of rejuvenating the brain.
Mercury meets up with Pluto, the cosmic compost, on 1/29/25 at 2:52 pm EST. Perhaps things get uncovered with that dynamic showdown. There could be big endings in business. There could more stories getting drummed up regarding the Sun/Pluto conjunction on 1/21/25.
This is also a cosmic opportunity to eliminate negative thinking, so that you can make room for all of the infinite potential in the New Age of Aquarius. This is about thinking of the collective, working with others to build community and finding your tribe. This is about opening minds to various healing modalities. There will be a huge change in social media forums, and it probably will happen pretty quickly.

Take the time to plant new seeds, write intentions of what you want your future to look like, and focus on the Mercury/Pluto conjunction to eliminate the obstacles and negativity that keep you entrenched in the past. Aquarius is about the future! We are done with the Epoch of Capricorn, and Pluto finally left Capricorn altogether on 11/19/24. We will never live to see Pluto in Capricorn again. Aquarius is a sign that repesents old structues, institutions, and traditions. This is a time to plunge into new paradigms and new ways of doing things!
I cast the New Moon chart for Washington DC, and it has Aquarius rising with the stellium of points in Aquarius in the 12th house, which is the Pisces sector of the Zodiac wheel. Mercury, planet of perspective and thinking; Pluto, planet of transformation; The Sun, which is ego, identity, and how you shine; the moon, which is how you get your needs met and emote with others.
This is very interesting, as this New Moon sets the tone for the next 19 years. In the very beginning leg of the Pluto in Aquarius tour, Saturn and Neptune have been co-present in Pisces. They both dip into Aries for several months this year; but, the Pisces presence has been and is very strong. It is a cosmic reminder that as much as the focus is on genius, the future, and soaring ahead on intellectual rockets; the soul and imagination are just as equally as important.
The incredibly famous Piscean genius Einstein once said, “Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” Pisces is a mutable water sign that when in its highest vibration, represents unlimited imagination, soul, selflessness, intuition, and DREAMS!
In the New Moon chart, there is also a stellium of points in Pisces: Venus, the planet of love, transits on and off in the sign of Pisces through 4/30/25.
We are currently in Mars retrograde, which is when Mars is closest to the earth and not functioning at its strongest. However, we feel its intensity far more, and it can feel extremely frustating to move ahead! Mars is currently in its fall position in Cancer, where it is emotionally triggered. It is also out-of-bounds, which means that people are more unhinged than usual and overreacting in a way that does not seem normal.
In the New Moon chart, there is a stellium of points in Pisces: Saturn, the planet of karma, responsibility, restrictions, and accountabiity; Venus, planet of relationships, finances, creativity, and value; Neptune, planet of dreams, compassion, illusions, delusions, deception, and magic; The North Node of Karma, which is where we are all meant to direct our focus and energy.
Aquarius is a sign of chaos. Mars in Leo opposed Pluto in Aquarius on 1/3/25, and I knew that would be an aspect of war in some way. I was worried there might be an attack of some sort. There were a lot of Mars stories at the end of 2024. However, the biggest and most unpredictable one I witnessed was when I went to LA to see clients and friends and saw an act of Nature that turned such a beautiful area into a war zone.
Uranus and Saturn both rule Aquarius; Uranus, the planet of instability and intelligence, is the modern ruler. Saturn, planet of karmic responsibility, is the ancient ruler. Most equage Aquarian energy with the instability of Aquarius. Think of technology. How many glitches do you experience with your phones, ipads, laptops, etc? There are things you think you know, which have yet to be revealed. There are things about others and yourself that you have no idea yet, as we are all birthing an entire new version.
I am exhausted and have yet to dive into the Piscean part of this formula for 2025; but, make no mistake that it is integral to your soul’s development in 2025! The North Node of Pisces wants you to FEEL and get off of the damn phone sometimes and look someone in the eyes and listen to them. Help someone, who is worse off than you. Venus, Neptune, and The North Node will meet up at 28 degrees of PIsces on 2/1/25 and 2/2/25 at 28 degrees of Pisces. We will the buildup now.
This is a triple threat of love, kindness, and cosmic magic. Special relationships could develop then, and you may find someone whom you can help, or who can help you. Finding something of meaning and doing creative projects that make you fly in the sky!
Venus had its meetup with Saturn, planet of limits, on 1/8/25. Venus retrogrades on 3/1/25 at 10 degrees and 50 minutes of the Cardinal fire sign of Aries, and it will return to Pisces on 3/27/25. It stations direct on 4/12/25 at 24 degrees and 38 minutes of Pisces. Think back to 9/17/25 when there was a Total Lunar Eclipse that occurred at 25 degrees and 51 minutes of Pisces. Venus will trigger the first Eclipse in Pisces, and it will also be during Eclipse month, in which we have another round that gives us more information from the last eclipses on on 9/17/24 and 10/2/24.
Venus has another meetup with Saturn, planet of reality, on 4/7/25. What a lineup we have that day! Venus will be back at 25 degrees of Pisces and exactly conjunct Saturn; Mercury, planet of information, will be at 26 degrees of Pisces and within a degree of the North Node of Karma, which will be at 27 degrees of Pisces. Wowza! This might feel less magical than the stellium in Pisces on 2/1/25 and 2/2/25; however, it is a grounding and necessary lineup that can be just as helpful and bring us down from the sky.
The Fixed Star known as Scheat is at 29 degrees of Pisces, and it is connected with self-undoing, suicide, and the chart of the Titanic. You can give it an orb or about two degree — the very last degrees of Pisces. It is also prominent in healers, empaths, artists, and people that embody all of the wisdom and highest vibration of the very FINAL degree of the Zodiac. The Universe is summoning the artists, musicians, empaths, and dreamers to come together to love, help, heal, and dream together!
We cannot do it like the pychedelic Falafel guy on East 7th street, who was so zoned out that he forgot to charge for his food. He was very happy, though, and he loved making those falafels!
Let’s come together to love but also honor our own value; more importantly, the value of others that perhaps this world has made us overlook.
For the New Moon, set your intentions, write down what you want to innovate for the future, dream. Think like the Fool card and have a sense of anticipation.
