Full Moon in Pisces: A moon of loss or hope?

Hi, Everyone

I have been writing this article or a variation of an article for what seems to be like weeks and months. It has only been a few weeks, but it might as well have been a year. As I struggle for the words not only in my writing but in day-to-day existence, I know how much all of you struggle, too.

At present, all of the outer planets are retrograde. This is not not atypical, as the outer planets retrograde every year for several months. It is a more reflective time, which gives you opportunity to absorb the messages of the planets in order to revise your mission.

The words keep escaping, but I keep writing. I keep trying. The sun transits in the mutable earth sign of Virgo and encourages you to focus on work, health, and self care. Virgo is a mutable earth sign, which is ruled by the planet Mercury. Mercury is the planet which rules communication, learning, thoughts, and ideas. Mutable signs enable us to shift directions if need be and to adapt to our circumstances. However, in mutable seasons, it can also be difficult to set firm boundaries and not to get lost in the shuffle.

Mercury is currently transiting in the Cardinal air sign of Libra, where it will remain through November 6, 2021. Libra is THE relationship sign, and it is ruled by the planet Venus. Venus is one of the benefics of the zodiac, and it represents love, beauty, value, kindness, money, and possessions — among other things.

The planet Mercury entered its shadow on the New Moon in Virgo on September 6th when it reached 10 degrees of Libra. Mercury will retrograde on September 26, 2021 at 25 degrees of Libra and will station direct on October 18, 2021 at 10 degrees of Libra. It will not exit the sign altogether until November 6, 2021, which means a lot of ghosts from your past will reappear in various ways. Libra is the sign of relationships, and all types of relationships can resurface in a myriad of ways.

Pay attention to the messages. You may revisit or hear from your past, you may have vivid dreams, or you may dig deeply into your lifelong patterns around relationships with others and yourself. Venus is currently transiting in the fixed water sign of Scorpio, where the water run deep, and I mean DEEP!

This could stir feelings of mistrust, jealousy, and malevolence.

Venus clashed with Saturn, the planet of reality and limits, over the weekend. A good reminder to us all of our limitations in this journey. Get clear on what works, and what does not.

This Mercury retrograde season defaults back to when Venus was retrograde in Scorpio/Libra in 2018. Every eight years, Venus retrogrades in Scorpio at approximately 10 degrees of Scorpio and stations direct at approximately 25 degrees of Libra. Venus last retrograded on October 5, 2018 at 10 degrees of Scorpio and stationed direct at 25 degrees of Libra on November 17, 2018.

When Mercury retrogrades later this month, it triggers the tale of that fall season of 2018, and it gives you the chance to readdress how you heal the wounds around relationships, how you partner with others, and how you can achieve your joy.

Venus and the Sun met up on October 26, 2018 and formed a Venus/Sun Starpoint at 3 degrees of the fixed water sign of Scorpio.

This was a celestial invitation to purge what keeps you from your heart. This is an unbelievably sad time, in history, but you still have need to keep a little space in your heart for hope, love, and joy. Try to use this retrograde season to face the wounds directly around loss, love, money, possessions, and productivity. Many of us have lost ourselves in this pandemic. It is time to empower and find yourself again.

There is a Full Moon that occurs on September 20, 2021 at 7:53 pm EDT at 28 degrees and 14 minutes of the mutable water sign of Pisces. This is less than a minute away from the final degree of the zodiac. It is a degree of endings, and it is also associated with the fixed star known as Scheat.

This is a fixed star that is connected with loss, sorrow, drowning, murder, and suicide. I write this with caution because it is imperative that we all heed the current energy. If you feel despondent, reach out to people, connect, or do something that grounds you. If you know people that are fragile, reach out to them more than usual. Please be extra mindful when I write this because there will be a lot of endings and loss at this time. People will feel uncentered, hurt, and lost.

The energy of this Full Moon in Pisces and of the fixed star Scheat reminds me a lot of Robin Williams. He had his moon conjunct his North Node in Pisces. He embodied the entire range of Pisces: imagination, creativity, empathy, charm, addiction, sorrow, and undoing. Most think of his humor with good reason, but I think of his more serious roles and his sad, kind eyes. He was a magic man that instilled joy in others and failed to find it within himself.

“You’re only given a little spark of magic, and if you lose that, you are nothing.” — Robin Williams
