New Moon in Leo: Love with courage.

Hi, Everyone,

Mars is stomping ahead, and Leo season is on fire! The fury of Mars is obvious in every interaction — whether it be in every day life or on the world stage. Mars loves being in Aries, but it does not like clashing with planets in Capricorn that block and impede its progress. Mars is slowing down and is about to retrograde on September 9th at 28 degrees of Aries. It is time to get prepared and get things things going now! Take micro steps and launch things now, as there will be big delays with Mars retrograde.

Mars retrogrades once every two years, and it is a personal planet that represents our drive, will power, action, work, and energy. When Mars is retrograde, it is not a good time to launch something new altogether. It is not a good time to get incorporated. Although Mars is already in its shadow and has begun clashing with all of the limitations of the planets in Capricorn, it is still time to get things going and put plans in action.

Mars has already clashed with Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn this month, and the energy has been hot and fiery! At the end of the month, Mars has a long clash with Saturn, which rules the stellium in Capricorn. Saturn is the forerunner of the year that asks us all to be accountable, have boundaries, and respect others. Saturn represents limits, challenges, karmic lessons, goals, ambitions, responsibility, and karmic rewards.

Today, there is a beautiful New Moon in Leo that calls upon you to open your heart, creativity, and love in this year of karmic constraints. The New Moon takes place on August 18, 2020 at 10:42 pm EDT at 26 degrees of Leo. This new moon is exciting, passionate, creative, and inspired! Bring it on!!!

The New Moon sets off the Total Solar Eclipse that occurred on August 21, 2017 at 28 degrees of Leo, which is the Royal Fixed star known as Regulus. In Latin, Rex means king. Regulus is the king and queen maker. It is time to be royal and shine in your power! I think of the strength card in Tarot, where the woman is gently holding the lion with strength, compassion, and empathy. Open your heart and fuse the current trend of anger into love!

I cast the New Moon chart for Washington DC, and the chart has Taurus rising with Venus as the ruler of the chart. Venus is currently in the cardinal water sign of Cancer and forms a beautiful sextile to Uranus, which stationed retrograde over the weekend. A sextile is an aspect of opportunity. Uranus is the planet of chaos and brilliance.

When Venus and Uranus work in harmony, creative ingenuity flows in every direction! The New Moon forms a beautiful grand trine in fire, which is very lucky and zealous in the element of fire. Dream big, set intentions, create, sing, love, and dance! There is a cosmic concert in the sky, and you are the lead singer. Remember — it is Leo after all! You get the stage!

The New Moon forms a Yod with Neptune in Pisces and the three planets in Capricorn. A yod is formed when two planets — in this case, Neptune and the stellium of planets in Capricorn — are 60 degrees apart; each one being separated from the apex planet (New Moon in Leo) by an angle of 150 degrees. In this case, Neptune in Pisces is sextile Saturn, Pluto, and Jupiter in Capricorn.

This helps us to actualize our dreams and is an enabling influence. However, The New Moon in Leo is inconjunct Neptune in Pisces. It is also exactly inconjunct Saturn in Capricorn, which rules the stellium of planets in Capricorn. This requires readjustment in your perceptions, dreams, and in life. A Yod is prominent in the charts of many creative and spiritual people. It represents a fated purpose. The Yod can indicate powerful mystical forces in a person or an event. It can also entail something must be worked through with skill and reconstruction.

Take time to honor this New Moon energy! The Sun is in its dignity in Leo, and it forms a trine to Mars, which is in its dignity in Aries. Eris, the goddess of discord and sister of Mars, is also conjunct Mars in the New Moon chart. These three planets form a trine to the South Node of Destiny in Sagittarius. This is very powerful Grand trine! If you have something you want to start today, please do it!

Take advantage of all of these cosmic gifts within the New Moon chart. This New Moon is a very powerful day to do the Law of Abundance. It is also excellent to write down intentions and to manifest! Take a blank check and date it for August 18, 2020. Print out your name where it says, “Pay to the order of,” and then leave the small numeric box blank. Print on the next line, “PAID IN FULL.” At the bottom where you normally sign your name, print “THE LAW OF ABUNDANCE. ” I wish you much luck and happiness.
