Lunar Eclipse in Gemini: Preparing for the future.
Hi, Everyone,
This is the day before Thanksgiving, and it is unbelievable to be writing about the final eclipses of the year that occur during the final weeks of Saturn and Jupiter in Capricorn. We are finally about to exit the Epoch of Capricorn and head towards The Age of Aquarius. The Eclipses will shake things up, wake things up, and induce a lot of change as we prepare for the Real Age of Aquarius, which emphasizes a technological revolution, community, connection, enlightenment, and brilliance. Saturn, the planet of karma, restrictions, lessons, responsibility, and commitment, has been transiting in the Cardinal earth sign of Capricorn on and off since December 20, 2017. Saturn is in its rulership in Capricorn and demands that each of us gleans the lessons we are meant to learn, focus on the areas of our lives where we can build form and structure, and let go of the structures of our lives that are no longer working or helping us to mature and grow. Pluto, the planet of death, rebirth, transformation, and other people’s money, has been transiting in Capricorn on and off since 2008 and will occupy the Cardinal earth sign of Capricorn until November of 2024.
When Pluto initially entered Capricorn, it led to the global financial crisis. Pluto at 0 degrees of Capricorn is at the world axis and impacts all of us. Capricorn represents corporations among other things. This year, Saturn and Pluto met up at 22 degrees of the Cardinal earth sign of Capricorn, and this is also a degree that is at the world axis. This means that the transit itself packs much more of a punch. It impacts people on the world stage, and it also impacts each and every one of us, as we comprise the world.
Saturn and Pluto are the two traditional malefics, and they meet up approximately every thirty-four to thirty-six years in the sky. They have not met up in the heavy, karmic sign of Capricorn for over five hundred years. They paired up together on January 12, 2020 to change the world forever. Add to that fact that Jupiter, the planet of exaggeration, entered Capricorn on December 2, 2019 and has been expanding this story for all of us to work within Capricorn karmic constrictions. Some systems in our lives have pivoted temporarily; some will never return.
The brings us to the closing finale of 2020. We are now in Eclipse season, and this means that this is a time of major beginnings, endings, and rapid change. There is a sense of urgency and pressure during times of Eclipses. Eclipses can be very revelatory, and they can uncover hidden information. They are like wild cards in that they are very unpredictable, but you can expect a very busy month of December with a lot of news being uncovered in your own lives; as well as on the world stage.
During Eclipses, people and situations can be completely eclipsed from our lives. In the same vain, sometimes people can enter lives unexpectedly out-of-the-blue in a very fated manner. Pay attention to the stories in your life that are happening now for you. Pay close attention! We are almost done with this Capricorn time of reconstruction and building new foundations. We are now approaching the Age of Aquarius, in which the emphasis is on community, connection, communication, humanitarianism, the collective, chaos, and brilliance. Aquarius has two rulers. In ancient astrology, Saturn, the planet of lessons, rules Aquarius. In modern astrologer, Uranus, the maverick planet, rules Aquarius and represents its impulse to innovate, break free, and do things in a unique fashion. As we struggle with our collective karmic lessons and mourn the loss of our loves ones, old ways of life, lost beloved local spots, landmarks, traditions, companies, corporate models, and old anchors in our lives, the Age of Aquarius gives us a helpful glimpse of the technology and brilliance accessible to us all, as we create and heal a new future replete with connection and opportunity! This epoch of Capricorn has been of epic proportions, and we will never see this lineup of Capricorn in the sky again!
The Eclipses in the Capricorn/Cancer axis began in the summer of 2018 and continued through the summer of 2020. This emphasized even further the breaking down of old fabrics of security, as our intellect and future foresight becomes our currency in the Age of Aquarius. We have dealt with severe restrictions; yet, Saturn transited briefly for a months in Aquarius this spring and early summer, and we were given a glimpse of the opportunity to evolve business and learning through technology. Those businesses that are hanging on by a thread and pivoting will be helped immensely by the mass inventiveness of the Age of Aquarius. Think of Mr. Rogers pleading in a more intense way, “Won’t you help your neighbor?!” That is where we need to take this with the Age of Aquarius. This is the way we will get through and heal together.
Saturn enters Aquarius on December 17, 2020 and transits in this sign on and off until March of 2023. Jupiter, the grand benefic, transits in Aquarius on and off from December 19, 2020 until December 29, 2021. The two pair up on December 21, 2020 at 1:21 pm EST at 0 degrees and 29 minutes of Aquarius, and this truly marks the beginning of the Real Age of Aquarius. We structure (Saturn) a vision (Jupiter) of the future (Aquarius). Jupiter and Saturn form what is known as a Great cycle when they meet up in the sky every twenty years. This exciting cycle that occurs on the Winter Solstice is even more illuminating because it occurs during Eclipse Season. Eclipses tell us things we need to know. On the final day of November, there is a Lunar Eclipse that takes place on November 30, 2020 at 4:30 am EST at 8 degrees and 38 minutes of the mutable water sign of Gemini.
Interestingly enough, there was a Lunar Eclipse that took place eight years ago on November 28, 2012 at 7 degrees of Gemini. Think back to that time of your life if you recall if any significant events occurred. Are they any similar patterns? This time around, the Eclipse is at 8 degrees and 38 minutes of Gemini. Those born with planets or angles between six and 10 degrees of the mutable signs will feel it the most: Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces. This Lunar Eclipse is close to the world axis, which is any planet at seven degrees of the world axis, so this will impact all of us more intensely and will be felt throughout the world. A Lunar Eclipse happens when the Earth is between the sun and the moon, and the shadow of the Earth falls on the moon. Eclipse bring things to light. A lot of wild things happen around Eclipses, and you can expect that people may act in an unusual way. Mercury, the planet of information, rules the sign of Gemini, so this Lunar Eclipse will be telling even more tales than normal!
A Lunar Eclipse tends to be more about relationships, completion and fruition; as a Solar Eclipse tends to be more about self and new beginnings. However, in my studies of Eclipses over the years, I have seen MAJOR beginnings happen during Lunar Eclipses and MAJOR endings happen during Solar Eclipses. Expect the unexpected and expect to be very busy! If you are having relationship issues, wait a few weeks or in the beginning of the year to broach things, as people can get eclipsed altogether.
In this Lunar Eclipse, The moon in Gemini is in conjunct Venus in Scorpio. The moon is how you get your needs met, and Venus is what you value. Venus is wounded in the fixed water sign of Scorpio, and there will be a need for adjustment in this Lunar Eclipse. A Lunar Eclipse is a full moon on steroids, and it is very emotional energy. Only two days before this Lunar Eclipse, Neptune, the planet of dreams, stations direct at 18 degrees of the mutable water sign of Pisces. This could unveil even more lies and deception in the following few weeks, as the veil of Neptune’s fog dissipates into the others.
Neptune rules your emotions and imagination. Neptune squares the Nodes of fate within two degrees, and there is a very dreamy, surreal quality to this Full Moon Eclipse. You could have very vivid and psychic dreams. Pay attention to the messages. If you have selenite or purple amethyst, keep it close to your bed alongside a pad and pen. Pay attention to your dreams. Journal your thoughts during the day, and use this Full Moon to release the painful ideas (Gemini) that haunt your mind, as you seek to manifest and create a new future in the Age of Aquarius. Focus with intent on what you wish to release on this powerful Lunar Eclipse.
Neptune’s energy is potent, and you can feel the emotions you want to feel in order to connect with those intentions. Burn sage, palo santo, or incense to cleanse the energy. Put your crystals in moon light if you are able. Focus on what you want to let you go and say it out loud with conviction! And so it is. — Tisch
