Solar Eclipse in Cancer: Feel it to have it

I am not going to say that we have a big week ahead of us because that is an understatement. We have a huge summer ahead replete with three powerful Eclipses and several planets retrograde! There are three Eclipses this summer — two of which are Solar Eclipses. This is in itself is an anomaly. Typically, two eclipses occur every six months. That means that we are essentially in Eclipse season all summer long.

On top of that, there there are several planets retrograde, which means that we are all in review period. The following planets are already retrograde: Mars, which is a personal planet and is the planet of action, aggression, passion, motivation, and anger; Saturn, the planet of structure, restrictions, and karmic lessons; Pluto, the planet of power and transformation; Neptune, the planet of spirituality, faith and dreams; and Chiron, the wounded healer.

I cannot speak for everyone, but I have really noticed a shift in myself since Mars stationed retrograde in that it takes a lot more effort for me to focus on my creative goals and get them done. I have many ideas, but it is hard to channel.

Mars rules our energy, vitality, passion, motivation, and drive. Mars is the ruler of Aries, and it is the ancient ruler of Scorpio. Mars only retrogrades once every two years, and the fact that it is a personal planet makes the retrograde much more tangible as to how it slows down many areas of our lives or own energy directly. Mars is retrograde through August 28, 2018 when it stations direct at 28 degrees of Capricorn.

Jupiter is also technically retrograde now, but it is about to station direct on July 10, 2018 at 13 degrees of Scorpio, and that is BIG news! Jupiter is the biggest planet, and it is the Grand Benefic. It rules higher leaning, optimism, adventure, philosophy, and good fortune.

It is very helpful that the luckiest planet stations direct during a summer of difficult eclipses and with so many planets retrograde, as it gives us a guide and light in a time of much change and letting go. Use Jupiter as your light this summer.

There is a Partial Solar Eclipse that occurs on July 12, 2018 at 10:47 pm EDT at 20 degrees of Cancer. The Moon rules the Cardinal water sign of Cancer; therefore, the moon is in its home sign when it is in Cancer. A Solar eclipse occurs when the Moon stands between the Sun and Earth, cutting off the light of the Sun. A Solar eclipse is like a New Moon on steroids and is extremely powerful and swaying!

This Eclipse chart is pretty harsh because the Sun and The Moon are conjunct at 20 degrees of Cancer and make an exact opposition to Pluto, which is the planet of power and transformation. Although Solar Eclipses tend to usher in more beginnings than endings, I have found that major life changing beginnings and endings occur during both Solar and Lunar Eclipses.

Pluto is the cosmic compost, which eliminates what no longer serves us. In the Solar Eclipse chart, Pluto exactly opposes the Sun, which is our path and ego; as well as the moon, which is our security and needs. Inevitably, there will be a lot of endings, layoffs, breakups, and letting go during this Eclipse season.

I know people will chime in and say they are done with letting go; but, I do not think any of us is, as these lessons are for our elevation. The nodes of Fate are closely linked to these Eclipses, which means that it is part of our path and destiny to figure out what we need to transform and let go. This is an incredibly manifesting Solar Eclipse in that the Moon is in the sign it loves, and the Sun and the Moon both fall in the fifth of creativity and love affairs. The Sun rules the fifth house of fun and creativity. Have fun and create what you want.

You have a choice to pursue the North Node in Leo and follow your path. Since the last Eclipse season six months ago, Uranus, the planet of ingenuity, is now in the creative earth sign of Taurus, which means it is time to innovate new values, skills to make money, and new dreams. Manifest, dream, create, and do something if you do not like what you see upon review.

The next Solar Eclipse will occur on August 11, 2018 in Leo, and this is the final Solar Eclipse in the Leo/Aquarius axis, while the North Node is still in Leo and beckons you to follow your heart! These Eclipses will not be easy with Mars retrograde. You want to start taking the steps now to eliminate what is not working and start to ingrain habits towards getting what you want before Mercury retrogrades on July 26, 2018 at 23 degrees of Leo.

Mercury\’s station at 23 degrees of the fixed fire sign of Leo happens to form a square to where Jupiter stationed retrograde at 23 degrees of Scorpio on March 8, 2018. Time to review how you can expand. Time to keep pursuing your vision!

It will not be easy with several planets retrograde and with an opposition to Pluto. How badly do you want your heart to be happy? Keep in mind what was discussed in the late spring and early summer when Mars met up with the South Node of Karma at 7 degrees of Aquarius on June 10, 2018.

Mars is a traditional malefic, and the South node indicates karmic patterns and people that we are meant to release. It can be a very impulsive and harsh combination, so it is very important to work tenderly with this energy and not with impulse because it will be so easy to lash out before thinking — whether it be in anger or self sabotage.

The Solar Eclipse chart has Pisces Rising, which means that Neptune rules the chart. This speaks again to how manifesting this New Moon Eclipse chart is if you surrender to the situations that you cannot change and need to release and meditate on areas that you do want to expand, and where there are new beginnings in line with the North Node in Leo. Again, no more cycling in place!

Neptune is in its rulership in Pisces. There is a magical Grand Trine in Water in this Solar Eclipse chart in Cancer, which means that if you feel the emotions of what you want to have, you can achieve it and magnetize it very easily. The Sun and Moon are conjunct at 20 degrees of the Cardinal, action oriented, water sign of Cancer. The Sun and Moon, which represent our path and our needs, form a trine to Jupiter, the luckiest planet, which also has just stationed direct on July 10, 2018 at 13 degrees of the fixed water of Scorpio and is very strong and intent in its transformative expansiveness; Neptune, the planet of dreams and imagination, forms a trine to all the above, and paints our dreams.

There is excellent manifesting energy to this Solar Eclipse, and it is definitely time to manifest, write down your intentions, and do the Law of Abundance, and this is a very magnetic New Moon Eclipse chart. However, it is also time to implement healthy patterns and let go of destructive ones, as this summer it is very easy to slip up and recede into unhealthy ways. Mars and the South Node can trigger past issues. It is best to make important decisions before Mercury retrogrades on July 26, 2018 at 23 degrees of Leo, so try to line things up that you want to work on all summer.

The Solar Eclipse is an extremely potent day to do the Law of Abundance. This new moon Eclipse is especially intuitive since both the Sun and Moon are conjunct in the emotive water sign of Cancer. Take this opportunity to write down your dreams and feel the emotions it feels to have it. Take a blank check and date it for July 12, 2018. Print out your name where it says, \”Pay to the order of,\” and then leave the small numeric box blank. Print on the next line, \”PAID IN FULL.\” At the bottom where you normally sign your name, print \”THE LAW OF ABUNDANCE. \” I wish you much luck and happiness.
