Full Moon in Aries: Release the story
Hi, Everyone,
There were three exact squares of Mars and Uranus. Uranus is not unlike Mars in that it is highly reactive and rebellious. The two together are volatile. The first time the two met up exactly started with May 16, 2018, which is the day after the New Moon in Taurus and also day that Uranus initially entered the fixed earth sign of Taurus. That was when the volcano first erupted in Hawaii. The next Mars/Uranus pairing occurred on August 1, 2018. and this was right in the midst of Eclipse season.
Now, the third and final pairing of Mars and Uranus occurred on September 18, 2018. We feel the pressure before as it builds up and right before it is exact; but, we are still dealing with Mars themes through the end of the month.
Sad to say and more commonplace, there have been more shootings in the past week, as a woman who opened fire at a Rite Aid in Aberdeen, Maryland, and four people lost their lives — including the suspect. Another disgruntled employee in Wisconsin known as the workplace shooter, and three people are seriously injured. A mother was shot shielding her young children at a St. Louis bus station. I know we have all become more desensitized to these types of stories in the world in which we live, but those are a lot of Mars stories in the recent headlines; not to mention there were more stories like this!
My intent is to illustrate how rampant and uncontrollable all of this Mars rage and fire has been. The Mars story has been looming strong for all of us on the collective, external, and the internal for the majority of the year, and it rules the masculine energy. Mars also rules our identity, ego, and self. What has the story been for you personally this summer? Have anger issues surfaced, frustration, an urge to destroy everything around you, rage, or a desire for self-undoing?
This fall, the narrative is changing from the Mars story to the Venus retrograde story, which focuses on the Venusian themes of value, love, money, and beauty. The Fall Equinox has the Sun at the world axis at 0 degrees of the Cardinal sign of Libra, and it occurs on September 22, 2018 at 9:54 pm EDT.
In the Equinox chart, The Sun and Mercury are opposite Chiron, which is the wounded healer. Chiron will have just re-entered the last degrees of Pisces, so it will be out of sign. Chiron is Pisces is a very wounded placement, and I think this fall will be focusing on wounds around relationships, and you can re-frame the story.
Venus is in its shadow and is in its detriment in Scorpio. Venus retrogrades at 10 degrees of Scorpio on October 5, 2018 and will be retrograde until November 16, 2018 when it stations direct at 25 degrees of Libra. This defers back to the Saturn in Scorpio story from 2012 until 2015, which dealt very much with wounds and blocks around intimacy. It also deals with the Saturn in Libra story around partnering and relationships that began in November of 2011 and continued on and off through May of 2012. Jupiter is finishing its journey in the fixed water sign of Scorpio on November 8, 2018, so it it time to make the most of this healing around love, intimacy, and finding value.
Now more about Mars story because Mars will soon take a backseat to the Venus in retrograde story! First of all, there is a Full Moon on September 24, 2018 that occurs at 10:52 pm EDT and is 2 degrees of Aries. Of course this full moon is ruled by Mars because the Universe wants to emphasize the story just one more time. A full moon is a culmination and a release. Release this Mars rage. Release the fear and self doubt. Find your courage and be a healing warrior!
This full moon forms an exact square to Saturn. which means that there might be some difficult truths to face and decisions to be made. Saturn only recently stationed direct on September 7, 2018 at 2 degrees of Capricorn, and this is how we structure our goals. This is not an easy aspect, and there is an energy of the two malefics very strong in this Full moon chart: Mars and Saturn.
The moon square Saturn is an aspect of frustration and being blocked, as has been the theme all summer. Get over it. Mars is also conjunct the South Node one final time. Time to let it go. No more undoing. No more rage. It is exhausting, and it hurts too much.
This Full moon chart has a difficult configuration known as a T-square, and it involves Venus, the planet of love and beauty, in Scorpio; Mars and the South Node in Aquarius, which is releasing this summer\’s story around anger; and Uranus, the great Awakener, in the earth sign of Taurus. Wake up and wash that rage right out of your head! Mars rules the head. Make space for love in your thinking just as much as in your heart. Clear the space.
Mars is no longer out-of-bounds as of September 24, 2018, so this helps with the release. Mars and the South Node meet up a third and final time on September 25, 2018 at 4 degrees of Aquarius and meet up to help release the Lunar Eclipse on July 27, 2018, which was just one degree away at 5 degrees of Aquarius. That was a nasty eclipse, and it is time to let go. Venus is about love, and we need to clear the anger to make room for healing around love. Love rules, don\’t you know?
Use this full Moon in Aries to cleanse your crystals. There are a variety of ways to cleanse your crystals. I tend to the simple route and rinse them in cold water and put them out in the window sill for the moonlight. I am including a lot of rose quarts in this Full moon crystal ensemble, as rose quartz is good for love. We are almost done with Mars. Fight for yourself in a positive way and connect to your courage.
