Hi, Everyone,
Another unforgettable month that provides us glimpses of the future magic ahead of in the next few years. To say that this has been a challenging year is an understatement.
Yet, there is a lot of magic ahead into which we cap and innovate a whole new future and a whole new world of possibility!
This is a month of contradictions. Uranus, the planet of surprise, shocking revelations, instant change, upheaval, chaos, brilliance, technology, connection, community, and the future, changed signs and ingresses into the Mutable air sign of Gemini, where it last transited from 8/8/1941 — 6/9/1949. Uranus is the maverick planet, which rules the Fixed air sign of Aquarius, and it brings fast, fixed, instant change. It can change your life in an instant!
Uranus ingresses into Gemini on 7/7/25; but, Venus in Taurus met up with Uranus at the very final degree of Taurus on 7/4/25. There were a lot of unexpected breakups, layoffs, meetups, windfalls, and shifts in partnerships and finances. Uranus at the last degree of Taurus emphasized the instability.
When Uranus changes signs, it is a big deal. It has been transiting in the Fixed earth sign of Taurus on and off since 5/15/18. My good friend Swami was born on 5/15, and his nickname in his career was “Instant chaos.” That is kind of interesting for a Taurus, as they thrive by moving slowly and having things secure and stable. He was the anomaly, and I remember that there was a big volcano on his birthday in 2018 — the day that Uranus first entered the sign of Taurus, which is most equated with the Earth.
Uranus’ energy is now pronounced, and it can be associated with disruptive weather patterns like Earthquakes and other disruptive weather patterns. There was an earthquake swarm at Mount Rainier on 7/8/25, and it is the most significant seismic activity at this stratovolcano since 2009. Hawaii’s Mount Kilauea erupted, and the lava reached nearly 1200 feet of height.
There could be explosive news, big announcements, surprises, and a week of the unexpected. In fact, the next several months have many twists and turns; but, this week encapsulates it. Chubby Checker is singing “The Twist” on a long forgotten radio in a bygone area at a Woolworth’s counter with women in curlers smoking cigarettes; nonetheless, chaos and change are constants to which every generation can relate — even if they do not know what a radio is, or who the heck Chubby Checker was!
Uranus in Gemini brings fast thinking, new ideas, and innovation. The planet Mercury rules the sign of Gemini, and Uranus is the higher octave of Mercury. This promotes ingenious thinking, news ways to innovate and connect locally, and glimpses of the future.
This was the last outer planet to change signs; however, Saturn, Neptune, and Uranus will all return back to the signs in which they were transiting earlier in the year. That means that we are not done with Saturn and Neptune in Pisces; nor, are we done with Uranus in Taurus.
Instead, this summer gives us a preview of the infinite miracles, learning, and possibilities that these three planets in tandem can provide. I will elaborate further about the magic that Uranus in Gemini can provide, but let’s focus on this month of retrogrades.
Neptune, the planet of dreams, imagination, creativity, and illusion, retrograded on 7/4/25 at 2 degrees and 11 minutes of the Cardinal fire sign of Aries. We feel that energy enhanced five days before and five days afterwards. Neptune is in bed with Saturn in Aries, which retrogrades on 7/13/25 at 2 degrees and 11 minutes of Aries. They are both trying to build a new dream together, but none of us is clear as to what that yet means.
When an outer planet retrogrades, the qualities of that planet are exaggerated and emphasized. With Neptune, many felt confused, deceived, emotional, and sensitive. Neptune rules the Mutable water sign of Pisces, and it highly sensitive and intuitive. Lies could have been uncovered with this energy, or you could feek a sense of directionless and lack of purpose.
Remember that Saturn and Neptune are both transiting at very early degrees of Aries, which is the first sign of the Zodiac. Neptune can dissolve things, and Saturn represents structures. The last two met up exactly while in the Cardinal earth sign of Capricorn in November of 1989, and that was when the Berlin Wall came down, which was a physical and metaphoric example of communism.
While Uranus in Gemini has your nervous system on overload and feeling like you are trying to go to sleep with all of the lights on in your house, and a rock band playing at full volume, the retrograde energy wants you to sit and reflect as your mind soars with new ideas and possibilities.
Today is 7/10/25, and the Full Moon occurs at 4:37 pm EDT at 18 degrees and 50 minutes of the Cardinal earth sign of Capricorn. Saturn, which rules the sign of Capricorn is about to retrograde on 7/13/25 at 12:07 am EDT at 1 degree and 56 minutes of Aries. We feel that pressure five days before and five days afterwards. This adds pressure to the Full moon, yet remember that Saturn and Neptune are snuggling in bed. Saturn is trying to escape its responsibilities until it figures things out as to how to anchor the new possibilities.
For most, this energy can feel very unfocused. Saturn and Neptune will get very close in the sky on 7/17/25, and there is a big film of fog that surrounds the castle of hope. You may need to go back on your path to stock up on supplies, rethink your strategy, and calm yourself a bit, but don’t you dare give up on going to that magic castle!
In the Full moon chart, Saturn is in harmony with Pluto in Aquarius, which is evolving the collective and individual consciousness. The sky has no limits, and with Uranus now transiting in Gemini, so many different modalities, approaches and choices are now tangible. As aforementioned, Saturn and Neptune are not finished with their dance in Pisces, which focuses on mental health, isolation, loss and mourning, and spirituality.
This summer gives us a preview of the magic the next few years ahead contain for all; but, we are not done with the karmic cleaning and clearing that we need to do with Saturn and Neptune in Pisces; with Uranus in Taurus, which can be waking us up to what to outdated values and things that no longer have worth in our lives.
With Saturn’s station this week during this Full moon in Capricorn, it is an opportunity to re-evaluate the work you need to do to structure those new goals, and consider time that may have been wasted on work that does not support your new path.
In the Full Moon chart, The Moon in Capricorn forms a helpful trine to the South Node in Virgo, but Mars meets up with the South Node later in the month on 7/20/25, and it can feel hard to get things done. Your thoughts may race like a stock ticker; but, with Saturn stationing retrograde, it is time to strategize. The fact that Saturn forms a lot of positive aspects also means that it is not as difficult of a Saturn station, as it could be.
Saturn and Neptune have a very unusual pairing at the world point, which peaks on 2/20/25 when the two meet up at 0 degrees and 45 degrees of Aries to structure and form that new dream. This can feel ambivalent and confusing right now. With Jupiter, the planet of expansion, in the Cardinal water sign of Cancer through 7/30/25, this is a time to expand through what makes you feel good and by listening to your intuition. There is a LOT of fire and air, so it is nice that Jupiter is in its exaltation in the water sign of Cancer and sharing a cup of sympathy with all of us.
Mercury, planet of thoughts, ideas, communication, transportation, travel, and information, retrogrades on 7/18/25 at 15 degrees and 34 minutes of the Fixed fire sign of Leo. Mercury entered its pre-retrograde shadow when it reached 4 degrees and 15 minutes of Leo on 6/30/25 where it will sation direct on 8/19/25.
Mercury remains in the sign of Leo through 9/2/25, and this is a time to connect your mind to what makes your heart happy. Mercury retrogrades at the world point, which is 15 degrees of the Fixed signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Gemini.
Those with planets or points between 12 and 18 degrees of the Fixed signs; as well as between 1 degree and 7 minutes of the Fixed signs, will feel this the most. However, we all feel the Mercury retrograde energy. It is very likely to hear from people from the past — old friends or paramours. You could experience typical Mercury retrograde issues like miscommunication or problems with computer, cell phones, and other gadgets; but, this month has a lot of reflection while the winds blow high with Uranus in Gemini.
Lots of fire in the sky, and this is time to reconnect to love, your heart chakra, and creativity. Saturn and Neptune are meeting up at a degree of creation, which is at 0 degrees of Aries, so how and what you can do to make your heart happy is the goal here.
How can your open your heart to love in a world that seems broken? We are almost completely done with the old world and approaching a new one, but the fog surrounds the magic castle, and the doors are closed for repair at present. They open in February, so you better get ready!
Eris, the Goddess of Discord and Mars’ sister, retrogrades on 7/22/25/ at 25 degrees and 43 minutes of Aries. This could amplify the conflict and fiery energy that is so prominent right now. Chiron, the wounded healer, retrogrades on 7/30/25 at 10:42 am EDT at 27 degrees and 10 minutes of Aries. This underscores all of the healing that has not been done or addressed. There is a lot of vulnerability with all of these points in Aries, which reminds you both of your strength and your fragility.
Embrace your human strength and know that Uranus in Gemini can supercharge you with thoughts that bring luck that you never believed possible. There are a lot of choices in the sign of Gemini, which is the sign of choice and options. This summons courage with all of these points retrograding in the sign of self (Aries), and it is not easy. With Five points retrograde in a fast paced month, you must find ways to make time to recharge, disconnect, relax, and nurture yourself.
Uranus transits in the sign of Gemini from 7/7/25 — 9/7/25 and will return on 4/25/26 — 5/22/33. Uranus takes approximately 84 years to orbit. The last time it was in the sign of Gemini was from 8/8/41 on and off through 6/9/49. This was during World War II.
The last few times Uranus has been in Gemini, the United States was involved in war; Uranus is in Gemini in the birth chart of the United States and opposes the Ascendant. Uranus is the planet of freedom and independence, and this is what defined this country. Uranus was in Gemini during the Civil War, and the American Revolution.
This round has a whole new signature of magic. Saturn, planet of ambition and structure, forms a helpful sextile to Uranus, planet of genius, on 8/11/25 at 1 degree and 12 minutes of Aries and Gemini. This helps to anchor the brilliance, and these are the two rulers of the sign of Aquarius. Saturn is the ancient ruler of Aquarius, and Uranus is the modern ruler of Aquarius.
We build up to that magic triangle that was earlier referenced, and it starts to build on 8/20/25. Uranus, planet of invention, forms a helpful sextile to Neptune in Aries, and Neptune represents the wish; the two planets are in harmony with Pluto, planet of transformation.
This is a beautiful minor triangle of infinite potential to commune, brainstorm, electrify, catalyze, and soar, and it is in effect through the middle/end of September. These three planets will be working together on and off through early 2029. This brings big cultural and societal shifts, new ways of thinking, and enlightenment. The work we need to do may not be clear. Listen to your intuition and listen to your heart. We have magic ahead, but make sure to get extra rest with this supercharged energy of Uranus newly in Gemini!
