This is the re-awakening of the Age of Aquarius!
Hi Everyone,
As I rattle on the keyboard and let my fingers do the talking, I realize we have jumped back in to the Real Age of Aquarius! I can already feel the lightning bolts under my fingers as I type. In the past few weeks, I have noticed a collective listlessness that people have been feeling for the most part. Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, expansion, and higher wisdom, got back to 0 degrees of Pisces on July 17, 2021, and people have been swimming in confusion, apathy, fear, and loss. Some have been highly creative, as Pisces is a mutable water sign that rules the imagination, and its vision can be utterly boundless. However, the raw emotions have also been uncontainable, and this can be difficult to navigate.
This week, Jupiter re-entered the fixed air sign of Aquarius, where it will transit through December 29, 2021 when it re-enters the mutable water sign of Pisces. Jupiter rules Pisces in Ancient astrology and loves being there; but, it stirs the desire to want to escape in healthy and unhealthy ways. The desire to avoid and sleep grows strong. It can also impel the drive to create something absolutely beautiful with love and compassion. Jupiter in Aquarius feels fun to me. In its higher realm, Aquarius is a sign of connection, community, humanitarianism, individuality, and brilliance. Uranus is the modern ruler, and it is a planet of chaos, rapid change, disruption, awakening, and enlightenment. It reminds me of the Tower card in Tarot. As we approach the month of August, the Uranian and Aquarian energy is fierce! Jupiter expands both the brilliance and disruption, and Uranus itself stations retrograde on August 19, 2021 at 9:40 pm EDT. This is the only outer planet that is currently not retrograde.
When an outer planet stations, the energy of it is intensified. We feel it five days before and five days after. Uranus will bring many surprises, as will the month of August. The Sun and Mercury in Leo both challenge Uranus at the beginning of August, and it is a month where we can tap into the infinite connection in unexpected ways if we work with the magic. Although Uranus can be unpredictable, I like it the best out of the outer planets’ transits. Neptune makes me sad and depleted; Pluto makes me look more within than I would like; Saturn makes me work and work again; but, Uranus sometimes brings me an idea or connection that I would never have had before. Uranus is exciting! It can raise anxiety and keep you awake late at night, as it the great Awakener. However, it is quite exciting to be awake with ideas that make you think of the future — rather than ruminating on the blocks or bad decisions of the past. This week is a tricky one, and this shift is still hard. Bear in mind that when Jupiter was at 0 degrees, it was setting off where Neptune was transiting on and off from April through August of 2011. Neptune re-entered 0 degree of Pisces in February of 2012, and it has been transiting in its dignify ever since. Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces.
I can recall when Neptune initially entered Pisces that during Pisces season, many clients would feel unsure, depressed, and very depleted. I know a nurse that would give me reports of the hospital where she worked, and how many patients would come in either suicidal or from drug overdoses. If you have been feeling more depressed or uninspired lately, it is not surprising. Last week, Eris, the goddess of discord, stationed retrograde at 24 degrees of the Cardinal fire sign of Aries and set off where Pluto has been transiting by degree in the Cardinal earth sign of Capricorn. Pluto and Eris in combat is an invitation for you to let go or your rage so you that can expand your knowledge and connections in this world we build together. No man is an island, or so I was told. Mars, the planet of action, willpower, drive, and sexuality, enters the mutable earth sign of Virgo on July 29, 2021 at 4:32 pm, where it will tour through September 14, 2021. This is an excellent time for getting organized, doing chores, streamlining your routine, and getting your act together!
Just before Mars enters Virgo, it opposes Jupiter at 11:50 am EDT, and this brings a busy energy to the end of the week, and a lot of combative energy potentially. It is good for getting things done. Try to glean that benefit. Over the weekend, the moon is in the fixed earth sign of Taurus, where it is beautiful and exalted. The moon is very stubborn in Taurus. On Saturday, the moon clashes with Mercury and the Sun in Leo; as well as Saturn in Aquarius. These are setbacks and recognize that people might be moody. The moon then meets up with Uranus at 9:34 pm EDT, which can be exciting and set you free. It can also augment the chaos. The Sun in Leo meets up Mercury on August 1, 2021 at 10:08 am EDT, and this can induce very creative ideas. Leo is a highly creative fire sign, so tap into the passion. Tap into your heart chakra. People may be very opinionated and self righteous with this energy, so just work this creative angle of it.
of limitations, at 5:50 pm EDT on August 1st. This can bring delays in travel, and it can bring restrictions with communication. The Sun proceeds to oppose Saturn on Sunday at 11:14 pm EDT and on August 2, 2021 at 2:14 am EDT. This can bring breakups, endings, and major turning points. This is a week of getting clear with Jupiter back in Aquarius asking you to wake up, expand your mind, and connect to the universe. Saturn asks you to re-evaluate what really makes sense. You may temporarily feel Saturn’s limits; but, Jupiter in Aquarius brings so much magic to expand your own unique brilliance. When you learn, you do not focus on your pain as much. It inspires you to do more things and to use that skillset to do something of value. Think of Jupiter in Aquarius as a cosmic invitation to not only focus on your own desires and ego(Leo,) but on what you can do for the world in its entirety. This is the dawning of the New Age of Aquarius!!
